Better Boating Victoria has improved boat access at Rocklands Reservoir, with a new gravel extension added to the Mountain Dam Road Boat Ramp in April 2026.
Located on the northern side of the reservoir, the ramp is often left out of the water due to fluctuating water levels. The new gravel extension will make a big difference, allowing boaters to launch and retrieve vessels even when the reservoir drops as low as 27 per cent.
Rocklands Reservoir is popular with ski boats, PWCs and fishers and is quickly becoming one of Victoria’s most productive native fisheries.
