Lake Bullen Merri

Construction on upgrades at Lake Bullen Merri’s south beach ramp is complete and the ramp is open for use by recreational boaters.

Work saw the old ramp replaced with grooved concrete panels and a central pontoon installed for boaters to tie up to.

An underwater retaining wall has been built to provide some protection from waves and reduce sediment building up at the base of the ramp.

A new concrete approach and turning circle have also been added to make it easier when navigating down the steep approach from the car park.

The work was managed by Corangamite Shire Council and the South Beach Foreshore Committee of Management.
