| Increasing demand at the popular ramp has seen the site prioritised in the 2022-2023 Boating Action Plan to develop Concept Designs to upgrade and improve the capacity and functionality of the facility.
The Port Fairy boat ramp comprises a two-lane concrete boat ramp supported by a floating pontoon on one side and a fixed jetty on the other. The ramp is predominantly used by recreational fishers with a small number of other recreational boaters also utilising the facility. During periods of peak usage boaters often park their vehicles and trailers in informal overflow parking options opposite the facility or on surrounding streets. Better Boating Victoria has been working with the Moyne Shire Council to deliver the designs. This page will be updated as work progresses, and concept plans are developed. |
