Parking upgrades are complete at Torquay’s Fishermans Beach boat ramp.
The carpark now has 24 spaces big enough for your car and trailer, better pedestrian crossings through the area, a shared path and designated parking for boaters with low mobility.
New features include kayak drop-off area, two outdoor showers, bike parking and sealed surface that will lighten in coming months to blend with the natural beach feel.
A DDA-compliant beach access ramp has also been installed, making it easier for young families, wheelchair users, and people with mobility devices to access the beach.
A popular café is located alongside the carpark, providing boaters with a convenient coffee stop before a morning fishing trip or after an early session on the water.
A flexible parking system will also be trialled at the site. For more information on the parking conditions, click here.
Boaters can view ramp and parking conditions before they leave home via the Boating Vic app or at www.boating.vic.gov.au
