Point Richards coastal processes study presentation

Point Richards Boating Facility is one of six boating facilities the government committed to upgrade as part of its unprecedented investment in recreational boating.

We are proposing to upgrade the boating facility car park and the marine side infrastructure in two stages. We will be releasing the final concept design for the car park upgrade in the next few weeks and we’re also focusing on progressing infrastructure solutions to reduce the sea grass accumulation currently impacting the ramp. A coastal processes study has been completed to understand the factors behind the sea grass build up and results indicate that coastal hydrology is driving deposition.

We would like to share the results of this study with you and the concept design we have developed to improve the boat ramp and minimise the maintenance requirements in the future. We have produced a summary of this study and the proposed concept that can be viewed HERE

Event details:

  • We will be hosting two online presentation sessions, with a Q & A, on Tuesday 11 August. Registration for these online events has now closed.
