To ensure operators of personal watercraft (PWCs) have the skills they need, Better Boating Victoria is offering FREE PWC clinics in coming weeks.
The number of PWCs on Victorian waterways is increasing with the popularity of these vessels being realised by various operators. There are 28,000 PWCs registered in Victoria with 297,000 Victorians holding their PWC endorsement.
We’re providing FREE PWC clinics to current and prospective PWC owners and operators to refresh their knowledge and understanding of operating PWCs.
The first of these clinics will be held on Saturday 27 May at The National Water Sports Centre, Patterson River from 12pm to 6pm.
Click here to register and secure your spot.
Sessions will include a presentation from experienced PWC licence trainers covering operating rules, on water behaviour, tips and tricks and can help answer any questions about PWCs.
We’re running the sessions in partnership with Peninsula Boat Training and the Boating Industry Association of Victoria.
Participants will then be shown a demonstration of launching and recovering a PWC and talked through important operations such as steering, safety around impellor intakes and general on water skills.
Further clinics will be held at Lake Nagambie in June. More details will be available soon.
We’re committed to improving the boating experience across Victoria.
