Boost For Boating In Queenscliff

Boaters and anglers on the Bellarine Peninsula will find it easier and cheaper to get out on the water with ramp fees now removed at Queenscliff.

The Queenscliff boat ramp is a gateway to fantastic fishing and recreational boating in Port Phillip.

It joins over 30 other boat ramps that have been made free this year across Victoria’s marine and inland waterways.

The Queenscliff boat ramp will also be upgraded, and Thompson Berrill Landscape Design have been awarded a contract to develop the concept designs.

The concept design will look at widening the existing boat ramps, constructing additional ramps to ease congestion and speed up launching and retrieving and expanding the car park to accommodate more cars and boat trailers

Stakeholders will get an opportunity to have their say about the Queenscliff boat ramp upgrade and provide feedback to the concept design options that will be presented to the public in mid-November.

This upgrade is part of the Government’s $47.2 million plan to boost boating in Victoria by removing fees at all public boat ramps, upgrading six priority boats ramps and reviewing boating infrastructure management arrangements in Port Phillip and Western Port.
