With hundreds of beautiful bays, inlets and estuaries, and tens of thousands of kilometres of glorious coastline and rivers, it’s little wonder that more Victorians are heading onto the water. So, we need to make sure our infrastructure is shipshape.
These locations have popular boating facilities that have been identified as needing to meet future recreational boating demands.
The Government has committed $39.6 million in 2019/20 State budget to upgrading boating facilities at six locations:
We know there are other boat ramps that require attention. We’re working towards developing a strategy that will address the condition of current boating assets, and that will look at current and future demand as well as where and when new facilities are required.
We will work with the boating community as part of this process. The timing for delivery of any new boating facilities will be identified in due course. Right now, we’re focused on upgrading facilities at the six identified priority locations above.
